Why can't we be friends?

I just found this wonderful new socially conscious networking site and I am happy and excited to be a part of it. Unfortunately because of the platform it runs on NING, I cannot request any friends because I am an active member of another NING forum and have the maximum requests allowed.
So this discussion is not really a discussion at all rather an open invitation to all on this site to send me a friend request so that I can get to know you all better. So please if you are so inclined, send me a friend request and I will gladly accept it.
