Sorry to be gone so long, I've been offline since I was last here.
Gas generator, doesn't any more.
Had to wait on wind and sun to recharge batteries I was ruining buy having them to low so I had to charge for 3 days before they were even back to the very low end of a safe operational range. I'm at that point now, and will come back after I have some extra stored after I catch up on work. In the mean time, got my car running after not starting it for 9 months. Started working on a 6.5Kilowatt Onan generator that came with the RV and I dont think it has ever been started.... and 3 more wind generators got closer to being in the air. Only more design changes to these so its taking me longer to get parts from the dump I need to complete them. (income going up does not change that.
I want my expenses to go down, not up with my income).
I want more power, not to spend more $ so I can now drive the car to the dump to get more parts, and with the new generator running power a welder then I can make a methane digester to use the horse manure to power the generator. For free power at the flip of a switch, when my batteries get low and not much wind or sun.

Then I start converting my car and RV to electric.
In the year 2000 my world was destroyed,
As of last winter when I was free of that effect, I started building an new one.
From homeless and $20 mo. income to close enough to semi retire next month.
its not taking me to long to start over again from scratch.
And my wife is now planing to come back March 17th.
And she wont be looking for work when she gets here.
And if I have my way, never will again either.
But I have to get this place ready for a lady to come home to. :)
I'll return. (depending on wind, sun, and how much other/house work I get done).
Looking forward to reading the stories since I was last here!

Steph----------I have just read about the death of your friend but the way you wrote about it gave me a smile------------I think it's great that you concentrated on those things he and his wife gave to you.........after all--that is one of the things that life should be about................and your photo made it complete.
Also--loved the pic of the dog!

I like the sun coming up in the Madrid...you made it so much more than dawn.
I had an idea if our stories are in our blogs on our pages why dont we comment there? This way the blogs would have more hits ad get to the top of the blog page and we would get more coverage and spread the word of our group faster? This doesn't sound very peaceful but when you consider that 1. the stories would be seen more. 2. the comments would make more sense when attached to the story. It doesn't seem too bad.

Hi Stephanie (and all!)
Thanks for telling me about the longer stories. I was feeling strange about it anyway, like, mine seems wrong to have be "stuck" at the very top and it would be different if new ones were added to the top instead of the bottom if you know what I mean?
I'll come back and move it when I have time, I have not even had time to READ the stories of others :( who have added them over the past couple of weeks other than one of sandmans because you said here it was a really good one (I agree as well as wish I could write so well!)
I'll be back more as I can.
I had my gas generator quit, low winds no sun and clients wanting work done that I could not get to.
So I fixed my generators (one so far) I bypassed the computer inside it and ah... did something,
I'm now getting power from the slightest breeze, but, also may have 5 more new shopping carts to set up for new clients as well as some of the locals and friends seeing what I did to my wind generator,,, well I now have 3 people telling me if I make it they will buy it (but some are selling ones they bought elsewhere before they even saw what mine does).
Anyway, I'm SWAMPED right now as well as trying to make up for all the work time I lost before I "fixed" the best wind generator I could buy......
I want SO MUCH to come back and READ!!!
But posted a story and wanted to leave this here so you know whats up.
Not "back" just, in and out of here real fast!

sO GLAD you are back....even if just a little hello every now and then.
I assure you there are some wonderful stories here....
just take your laptop to bed at night and read them just like curling up with a book...

Yes Stephanie I can hear you loud and clear :D
White Dove wont be flying home until April now, she wants to attend her grand daughters baptism before she comes home. It is difficult for me to wish her home soon, because when she leaves it may be the last time she sees her parents, so this is not an easy thing nor one I will rush her on. I have huge respect for her and what she is doing taking care of her mother until she can no longer do so in her own home, as well as any woman, who leaves things like running water, nice home etc, to come live with a man who is homeless and you know more about me than needs repeating here. But I honor her, and respect her just huge, for seeing within me my love for this world, nature, honor of my elders and the Natives of this continent, and the path of peace.
If I become a millionaire it will not change what I am doing, other than the homeless part, I just want a small garden, small home, and to live by owning the least material things I can, not having more, but living well owning less and walking the path of peace on this earth by living with what it freely gives us, in respect for it, and life.
But will no longer shy away from financial wealth, but also delight in showing off my wife, as the kind a millionaire would marry honor love and cherish.
Susan your quite correct on that, but add, I'm a programmer, so I make my own airfoil programs also, beyond designing the power unit using quantum mechanics, and then finishing it all of using "art" because I intend to make these for sale but also make them the old fashioned American Made way, built to last, so I am currently designing the visual aspect of them, to be something that will "fit" into the world, even 100+ years from now.
So it all ties in together. My IQ, my programing e-commerce software, my lifetime experience with airfoils, my love of this earth, and humanity living in peace with this earth and each other.
Many see and point out the problems, like another site I am a member of that speaks of the economics in our country and about 'surviving' them......
I sort of try and say the same thing, like living in the wilderness, yes, you can 'rough it' but if you really learn what your doing it isnt about roughing it, but about doing it in 'style'
Like, having being homeless and in poverty, but turning that, into an art?

I do know many who are rather wealthy, as well as world famous. I do not object to them having these things but rather I do feel sort of sorry for them, because there are many freedoms they loose in having these things, that I have that they do not and they too know this, and tell me they are jealous of me for having them.
I have learned well from their lessons in this, yet that too for me is about to change.
I have avoided public exposure most of my lifetime, and have enjoyed the freedom this has given me.
Including knowing my friends, are real friends.
I have more power now, and it is increasing and I am getting caught up on my work for my clients.
Soon I'll have more time here, and just pulled a story I posted because it was.... well... like my comment here, really really long ! :D
I'll try and shorten it and repost it when the time is right.
I'm going to go find my pillow now, its already after 1 am my time zone!

Hey Clay clream great stories! really fun!
I liked the long comment Tree. It is true when all your talents and attributes blend in such a way its a true dream life you can share. I don't think that a lot of people arrive at that in this world. So many divide hobby and career. Its sad when you cannot combine your calling with your livelihood.

Hey what a fun trip Vanda... that takes me back. It is always great to go on an adventure. It is true many times adventures are best unshared. I was a sweet young thing on Spring break from school in France I hitchiked down to St. Ives from London in a meandering sort of way. Sometimes I feel like we are sitting around a roaring out door fire in here.
