Strange world? you bet!
Of course, what is strange.....what is normal? Or is what is normal strange or vice versa?
I am strange right now because I am tired
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
and going to bed
But I loved your handkerchief belonging to your mother. I loved how you wrote about it here. Thanks Irena
THE COAT
Yesterday strangely it was very very cold...almost springtime yet cold as winter. I decided to warm myself up and go to the pool
I went in, put my sack down, and strangely, saw a coat. A black lightweight coat. It was mine. Mine? How was that possible...I hadn't been to the pool for a week, and I had a coat on my arm. what was my coat doing here?
I looked at it up close. I looked at the tag inside the coat. I tried it on! It fit. I looked in the pocket...a handkerchief with lots of little cats printed on it. I had several of these in my house, and perhaps I had put one in my pocket thinking, "Ill give this to my friend with lots of cats."
I went downstairs. I asked to use the phone. I called my daughter, who looked in our cupboard and found MY black lightweight coat. She described it to me, the buttons, the length, just to make sure we hadn't made a switch-over.
I guess it IS my coat at home. But the cat handkerchief? What about that? That handkerchief with the cats I had had for about 20 years! I don't even know where I got it from.
and in a woman's coat....what was a cat handkerchief doing there?? Definitely, it was not the most sophisticated hankie to have in a woman's pocket (I have an excuse, being Ameriican and an artist!)
So strange. After my swim the coat was gone. I guess it was not mine. It actually had a belt in the pocket and I never remember having a belt on that coat.
One day I will see the lady wearing that coat, and wiping her nose or her tears with a cat patterned handkerchief.
Sorry DK to hear about your syndrom and not feeling well. You are such a giving and intelligent person, I do feel for you! Good you have plans, and your friend...you take the good with the bad. Hope you will feel better soon.
I too am very busy. Had a wonderful morning...will have to tell more about it with a picture too.
A famous photographer Steve Mc Curry was here in town and his show is up at the National Gallery in the center of town. This is an honor for this city!!! It is absolutely stupendous.
Will have to put the photos on when I reduce them.
I was in heaven this morning...meeting him, looking at internationally known photos and enjoying the set up of the Gallery. It was a real honor.
Yes sweet Stephanie, busy here too! Reading school books: multimedia, computer classes and advance photoshop. It's April and pondering, either time has stopped or sped up like one breath or a blink of a eye. There is something in the air here in California - San Francisco. I am sensitive to all energy and without judgement, it is just that - energy reminding me to love family and friend visits - we are blessed. I love all and know peace and love begin in my heart.. I extend this to all.. The photo is taken near Marin Headlands. It's like that one breath or a blink of an eye. Cheers!
Hi Everyone
I have been busy, but that is nothing new. I have had guests, from USA and England. I have discussed having another art show, I have had my daughter from Venice visiting here. There was Easter, and there was a lot of cooking. I have been taking photos, and painting. And seeing art shows. And straightening a very messy house.
And I have been writing less. And reading less here.
I think people have had a very very busy Easter week.
Am I right?
I had a nice time with the Italian family here, and then with new friends in a marvelous home in the countryside.
As soon as I realized where I was, my body said "Relax!! Soak in this view!! " I could not feel anything but relaxed. And that is what nature does, doesn't it. It didn't matter if it rained or not, it did actually, but the clouds, the fields, the sunset....it said "Stef....just reeeeeellllax" and that is just what Stef did!
Thanks for this wonderful doggie story....dogs and animals DO teach us to be better people. I love dogs so much!
Thanks Chetana...
and thanks Tree....I still smile when I think of what you read several lines down here.....really a good one!
If a dog were your teacher These are some of the lessons you might learn...
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face
to be pure ecstasy
When it's in your best interest
practice obedience
Let others know when they've invaded your territory
Take naps and stretch before rising
Run romp and play daily
Thrive on attention and let people touch you
Avoid biting, when a simple growl will do
On warm days stop to lie on your back on the grass
On hot days drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree
When you're happy dance around and wag your entire body
No matter how often you're scolded
don't buy into the guilt thing and pout
run right back and make friends
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm
Stop when you have had enough
Be loyal
Never pretend to be something you're not
If what you want lies buried
dig until you find it
When someone is having a bad day
be silent .....
...sit close by.
You know what Tree,
you just wrote what I thought you might have written and if it had been me, I would have written ju st what you did too!!!
