Potentiality of beekeeping in Bihar is immense. In fact it is one of the state well organized in beekeeping particularly around Muzzafarpur and Vaishali districts. There are progressive beekeepers like Satyanarain Azad who keep more than 10000 hives. Beekeepers are organized lot in this state having their own association. Unique feature of program being even Milk Cooperatives like Tirhut Milk Cooperative Ltd., had taken up this program marketing with common brand name with milk and utilizing same net work making the land of Milk and Honey'.
