Ipecac....the wonder plant for stomach cure

When the British Army occupied North Eastern India, they made their base in Shillong now the capital of Meghalaya. They noticed the local Khasis had no problem but the British personnel suffering from dsentery, often fatal. They noticed that the locals consuming the root of a small plant to get cured. This is Ipecac. The reason for cure is due to a chemical Emitine. My article on this plant is attached here for information.
