Hi there,
would banana and curd being bad combination mean banana lassi is not so healthy? nor is having raita with meals as it is cucumber in curd?
Cucumber with curd is great .. Banana with Curd is harmful, though Milk + Banana + Honey is good.

Banana Lassi ( made with Curd ) is NO - NO.

Healthy Raita recipe :

Namaste and Thank you for the Wonderful recipe...one more question? Is it useful to heat mustard seeds before adding other spices when let say cooking up or frying vegetables or tofu ect.... I heard it was good for the digestion but have recently not found them in Japan. Which is better yellow or black mustard seed?
this sounds yum.
How do I add carrots - raw and grated? tomato in cubes?
Thanks again for this wonderful information.

I have a question now. I have read that yogis are recommended not to eat onion and garlic, because they are tamasic foods, but many yogis also say that onion and garlic are very good for you (as does my mum, who always recommends them for preventing colds). What do you think on this matter?
You are so right and what you have heard is correct.

Now the context is different, for YOGIS who practice deep meditation, follow "brahamacharya" , avoid Onion / Garlic and many such food / fruit / vegetables which activates TAMAS in the body.

What do you want to know and if you can be specific.. I can respond accordingly.

Cheers.
YOU TOO Minushki !!
