The Child Art Mural was unveiled last week in Guyana at their main cultural festival. The mural was the result of cooperation between UNICEF and the Guyanese government. This mural of children's art covered 420 metres of the seawall. The children raised issues about peace and harmony, health care, government, etc. as they created works of art about their dream for Guyana.
Guyana's Minister of Culture hopes that they can expand the project
to include more of the seawall and maybe even involve other countries.

Do You Know Of Similar Murals Of Children's Art?
Could A Similar Project Be Undertaken In Your Local Area?
UNICEF sponsorship isn't necessary - local businesses or organizations could support the project. The project doesn't have to be large scale or on a seawall. Any school or community can create a mural of children's art. The unveiling of the murals can be scheduled to coincide with cultural festivals, special observances, etc.You may pick any mural theme
- peace, their hopes, kindness, anti-bullying, etc.
Children's murals of this type could indeed be true messages of peace!
I also invite all group members of "KIND CLASSES" @ IPEACE
to join our partner Facebook group - MESSAGES OF PEACE
MESSAGES OF PEACE
