Bullying Canada.ca is proposing that groups hold rallies on December 17 between 9:00 A.M. and 12:00 P.M in Canada and in the USA to raise awareness about the issue of bullying. This day will be referred to as "Blue Day" and participants are also asked to wear blue attire.BullyingCanada.ca is also at present spreading petitions throughout Canada, The petition requests that the Canadian government declare December 17 as an annual bullying awareness day to show support for anti - bullying organizations across Canada and throughout the world.

Country singers Jesse Farrell and the Road Hammers have also
thrown their support behind the "Blue Day" campaign..
"
Blue Days" have been held in the past as part of bullying awareness initiatives.
Blue is known worldwide as the colour representing peace.
We also realize that blue is associated with depression - a grave effect of much school bullying.
"Blue" observances can be held in any country
to draw attention to the issue of school bullying.
Some think "Pink Day" and "Blue Day" organizers
should unite to have just one annual day to focus on bullying awareness.
