This record blew me apart, it is impossible for people to understand that one had heard nothing like it before....and the "OOOOOOhh!" in the chorus was in the newspapers for weeks...Yes weeks!,it was used in cartoons,headlines everywhere and the "Yeh, Yeh, Yeh's" had even more of an impact.........it really is not, in the 21st Century, possible to explain the impact this record had on so many different levels.......It's one of my top 3 of all time.The 1st:-Strawberry Feilds Forever.the 2nd:- Good Vibrations and last but by no means least....She Loves You (Peter Sellers made a talking track of this as an old Cockney Londoner talking to his friend and, guess what?...It works!!....Byebye for now......

.....the Fabs themselves, and they looked soooooo cool then!

Well, I suppose I do. But I don't have so much ooomph nowadays.
Comically, the last time I sang - other than where no-one could overhear! - was at a party in the middle of the banana plantations of Argao, Philippines! They're mad about karaoke and I got dragged in. They were very polite but I don't think I was very impressive.

Don't be hard on yourself, Les!......Karaoke in the middle of a banana plantation at a party!!!!!!!!!!!....I shouldn't worry to much about the ol' voice, just sing till you pass-out would be my suggestion (o said Percy the Dreamweaver, Master of all Knowledge........Here! who just laughed, eh?).........Over and out........

There was only one good thing about him................................He tied great knots in his tie...I'm serious.........It annoys me to see badly tied ties.........His problem was, they could've been a LOT tighter....I mean REEALLY TIGHT....cut off the fuckin' blood flow's the Tight I'm talkin' 'bout !!!!

As for the vid, Joni............FANTASTIC....He really was a clued-up intelligent man, I still don't understand why people were so cruel to the vile war-mongering ignaramus, eh ?
