What music did you grow up listening to?

For me, it was Bob Marley...earliest memory was "Buffalo Soldier" on the radio while I was 7 in Costa Rica. My babysitter would turn on the reggae station and we would listen. Then, I got into rap music: Coolio, Tupac...then it was alternative rock: Everclear, Green Day...finally I got into classic rock: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd in high school...jam bands: the Grateful Dead, moe., String Cheese Incident. Also jazz on KNON 89.3 here in Dallas...Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Various Others. Lately, the newest kind of jazz music that I have heard is John Scofield's album Uberjam. Amazing stuff! :)
