The Peace Within

This argument within me,
the one only I can hear
is really stopping peace
from coming to this world.
This heated inner debate
with all the pros and cons
erupts as distant thunder
upsetting the balanced self.

I have to still the voices
those that only I can hear,
and relearn my breathing
to silence this discontent.
Focus on a point of light
clear all my other thoughts,
see the flower opening
to light the perfect world.

Only when this inner still
descends upon my soul
can I hear the world weep
for all its children’s pain.
Only then can I hear you
Just what it is you say.
Your sadness can move
that innermost core of me.

Now I can hear you plainly
and feel each bitter blow,
that you in silence endure
for all your pain is mine.
Just a little while my friend,
endurance will sow its seed,
the peace movement is here
growing stronger by the day.

Now is the time,
here is the place,
to see the truth,
to let go with grace,
of all that doesn't serve us anymore,
of things that do not resonate with our core.
Our center is pure light
and unconditional love,
and when we fully reconnect
there is nothing we can not have.
Now is the time,
here is the place,
to let go with love,
to release with grace.
Let go of anger,
reconnect to love.
Let go of judgment,
reconnect to compassion.
Let go of frustration,
reconnect to surrender.
Let go of criticism,
reconnect to acceptance.
Let go of lack,
reconnect to abundance.
Let go of suspicion,
reconnect to trust.
Let go of fear,
reconnect to unconditional love.
Let go of confusion and loss,
reconnect to faith.
Let go of disappointment and dissatisfaction,
reconnect to joy and happiness.
Re-connect to our natural state of being,
re-member who we are,
spiritual beings on an earthly journey,
we are the ones we have been waiting for!!!

A Word

If words could heal the hurt
life would become a book
if a single word could cure
I wish I could tell it to you.

There is such a special word
but its power is not in itself,
it is most potent when given
in a hug, a look or a smile.

The word that I have in mind
really has to be lived each day
as through our selfless actions
it speaks direct to the heart.

This word has suffered much
but still it cares for us all,
and it is this tiny word
that embraces us all.

It the darkest hour,
when life is bad,
this little word,
says “Love”.

Yes.. you are in control of the way you perceive those around you. If you can genuinely look at another human being (regardless of race, religion, country) and see their humanity and their "humanness"...then you can shift to unconditional love. )O(
