This is too complex an answer for a little box of a few lines. It has to do with the way we are socialized to understand reality through the many facets of our cultural identity which is linked to our individual and collective histories and the obstacles to being able to step away from our taken-for-granted view of reality to see with new eyes.

Can we change the world?

I am an education professor and work mostly with students who are interested in pursuing teaching careers. I think that education is one of the most powerful vehicles available to us to effect positive change.
