What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?: War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights, Our Shrinking Freedom

More: Some people are greedy for money and power, and will do anything to get more of these. They have no thought for the future but only their own short term.

More about me: I'm an ex nurse and archeaologist. I am appalled by the constant erosion of civil liberties in many western countries and the way that people in powerful positions manipulate their position to get more and more material goods. Society is in a downward spiral in the western world and cares little for other peoples who suffer repression and suppression of all those things that they have a right to have. Freedom of speech; freedom to chose their religion; to live their lives in the manner they wish to; to govern themselves without fear of their country being invaded by others and the right to make their own choices, whether or not they may seem wrong in the opinion of others.
