When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?: I feel the pain in the world

What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?: War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Inflation, Human Rights, Our Shrinking Freedom

So what is it?: Our civil liberties are being lost, our world is ready to explode, our environment is on the verge of a major change, our children are being "left behind" in education, Human Rights everywhere are shameful, children in the US go hungry every night, no food, no health care - how do you decide what is the most important out of all of these? They are all important and change is needed in all areas.

What must we overcome to achieve peace?: Prejudice

More: We believe we are a civilized society and there is no prejudice. How wrong we are, prejudice runs rampant in this country. No just the color of the skin or the religion, but the morals and believes that are being trampled on daily.

Can we change the world?: Definitely

More about me: I am a child of the 50's. I was fortunate enough to grow up with open-minded parents who embraced new ideas instead of squelching them. I am in my 50's now and I am apalled at what is going on, not only in this country but in the world. Change has to come. If it is not a peaceful one, I fear that it will be a violent one. I pray for the peaceful one.

Promise to respect others and refrain from spamming?: Yes

if you'd like to help, you could join the Motivation Team here on iPeace. We need some help since iPeace is growing and growing. The idea is simple to welcome the new users. It's a great way to make new friends, too!
Also, you can share with others whatever you're doing to promote peace. You don't need to be envolved in a complex project (but it's ok if you are), just giving some ideas on how to promote peace on a daily basis, with small and everyday activities.
Other way of helping is to invite your friends to join iPeace. In some way, this site is like Facebook, MySpace, Hi5 or any other, but its plus is that it openly promotes peace and is a good place to find people around the world that feel and strongly believe that "peace is not only possible, but inevitable".
