When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?: I feel the pain in the world

More about me: Thembani Mbadlanyana joined the ISS Office in Tshwane (Pretoria) in May 2008 as a junior researcher for the Training for Peace Programme. He previously worked as a research intern at the ISS Cape Town Office for Organized Crime and Money Laundering Programme. He also worked for Parliamentary Monitoring Group (PMG) as a Parliamentary Monitor in National Assembly and NCOP. At PMG he was mainly dealing with Foreign Affairs, Safety and Security and Correctional Services Portfolio Committees. In 2007 he also rendered his services at Western Cape Provincial Department of Community Safety and was in joint appointment with Civilian Oversight Directorate and Safety Information and Research Directorate. His last appointment before joining ISS was with Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), where he was part of the Crime Prevention Research Group. He holds BSocSci Degree in Politics, Public Policy and Administration and BSocSci (Hons) Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice, both from University of Cape Town. He will be pursuing Masters Degree in Criminology
