Before you ask God for what you want,
first thank God for what
you have.

Thy kingdom of established peace,
Which can no more remove;
The perfect powers of godliness
The ominpotence of love.

WHEN the mind thinks nothing, when the soul covets nothing, and the body acteth nothing that is contrary to the will of God, this perfect sanctification.

There are always reasons for giving up. Arguments for self-pity are thick as blackberries. The world is crowded with thorns and cruelties, causes for tears. Courage is the divine un-reason against which, as against a rock, the waves of disaster best in vain. Say to yourself: I am unconquerable. I shall arrive. In the center of creation sits not an enemy, but my Friend. I shall arrive~what time, what circuit first. I ask not. In some time, His good time, I shall arrive. Let come what will, I…

" Give thanks in this moment for all that God has provided to you and others. Remind yourself that you have been afforded great things, great protection, and great value in your life. Where you have miscreated, where you have misunderstood and gone astray, these are simply opportunities to remember yourself in God. "
Remember the inherent goodness in all things. Forgive and love regardless of conditions. Claim yourself in the order of God.

"I searched the world over for God and found Him in my heart," said Augustine.
In the heart of the believer a still small voice speaks in the clearest accents, bearing "witness with our spirits that we are the children of God." Nothing on earth is so heavenly as that~so like "the voice of angels singing in the silence." It is as clear as bells at eventime. It is assuring like the familiar voice of a friend beloved. The Holy Spirit speaking in the secret chambers of the heart is the…

I
have a cause.
We need those don't we?
Otherwise the darkness and the cold gets in
and everything starts to
ache.
My soul has a purpose, it is
to love;
If I
do not fulfill
my heart's vocation,
I suffer..

Be silent, O all flesh, before the Lord. -ZECH ii. 13
Be earth, will all her scenes, withdrawn;
Let noise and vanity be gone:
In secret silence of the mind
My heaven and there, my God, I find.

IT is only with the pious affection fo the will that we can be spiritually attentive to God. As long as the noisy restlessness of the thoughts goes on, the gentle and holy desires of the new nature are overpowered and inactive.

If you could look at the agony, the heartache, and the sorrow of your worst enemies, you would find that they have more than they can hope to handle, and you would do nothing but send them thoughts of love and joy and happiness.
You would just leave them alone with your mouth, your emotions, your mind, and your physical body.
You might just ask God in His mercy to extend to them everlasting peace.

HOPE is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.
I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never in extremity.
It asked a crumb of me.

You are sitting in a wagon being
drawn by a horse whose
reigns you
hold.
There are two inside of you
who can steer.
Though most never hand the reins to Me
so they go from place to place the
best they can, though
rarely happy.
And rarely does their whole body laugh
feeling God's poke
in the
ribs.
If you feel tired, dear,
my should is soft,
I'd be glad to
steer…

THE Life above, when this is past,
Is the ripe fruit of life below.
Sow love, and taste its fruitage pure;
Sow peace, and reap its harvest bright;
Sow sunbeams on the rock and moor,
And find a harvest-home of light.
H. BONAR

Hi, all you animal lovers!
This is pretty simple... Please ask ten friends to each ask a further ten today!
The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily so they can meet their quota of getting FREE FOOD donated every day to abused and neglected animals. It takes less than a minute (about 15 seconds) to go to their site…

Hello Beautiful World:
I am asking with humility and reverence for prayers for me. I am getting ready to give myself to modern medicine, more specifically, an anesethiologist. I have not had too much luck with the after effects as I my body lifts out of that form. Please help me to realize that I need to prepare myself for this change during the next 4 days and that I will nourish myself adequately prior to an upcoming surgery on Tuesday.
As always, I send…

When spiders build new webs, the weather will be clear.
Lightning in summer indicates good, healthy weather.
