"HOPE" IS THE THING WITH FEATHERS
"Hope" is the thing with feathers~
That perches in the soul~
And sings the tune without the words~
And never stops~at all~
And sweetest~in the Gale~is heard~
And sore must be the storm~
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm~
I've heard it in the chillest land~
And on the strangest Sea~
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb~of Me.…

Some time since, in the early spring, I was going out at
my door when round the corner came a big blast of east wind-defiant and
pitiless, fierce and withering-sending a cloud of dust before it.
I
was just taking the latchkey from the door as I said, half impatiently,
"
I wish the wind would" -I was going to to say change, but the
word was checked, and the sentence was never finished.
As I went
on my way, the incident became a parable to me.…

WHO HAS SEE N the wind?
Neither I nor you.
But when the leaves hang trembling,
The wind is passing through.
Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I,
But when the trees bow down their heads,
The wind is passing by.

Don't run around this world
looking for a hole to hide in.
Thee are wild beasts in
every cave!
If you live with mice,
the cat claws will find you.
The only real rest comes
when you're alone with God.
Live in the nowhere that you came from,
even though you have an address here.
That's why you see things in two ways.
Sometimes you look at a person
and see a cynical snake.
Someone else…

Also in this He showed me a little thing, the quantity of an hazelnut, in the palm of my hand; and it was as round as a ball. I looked thereupon with eye of my understanding, and thought: What may this be? And it was answered generally thus: It is all that is made. I marveled how it might last, for methought it might suddenly have fallen to naught for littleness. And I was answered in my understanding: It lasteth, and ever shall last for that God loveth it. And so All-thing hath the Being in…

I think God might be a little prejudiced.
For once He asked me to join Him on a walk
through this world,
and we gazed into every heart on this earth,
and I noticed He lingered a bit longer
before any face that was
weeping,
and before any eyes that were
laughing.
And sometimes when we passed
a soul in worship
God too would kneel
down.
I have come to learn: God
adores His…

In poverty and other misfortunes of life, true friends are a sure refuge. The young they keep out of mischief; to the old they are a comfort and aid in their weakness, and those in the prime of life, they incite to noble deeds.

Patience, hard thing! the hard thing but to pray,
But bid for, Patience is! Patience who asks
Wants war, wants wounds; weary his times, his tasks;
To do without, take tosses, and obey.
Rare patience roots in these, and, these away,
Nowhere. Naturla heart's ivy, Patience masks
Our ruins of wrecked past purpose. There she basks
Purple eyes and seas of liquid leaves all day.
We hear our hearts grate on themsleves: it kills
to bruise them dearer. Yet the…

" There is a promised land. A promised land is called such because it is
promised.
And when God promises, it is delivered.
The miracle of God is, it is already done as the Kingdom of God within

The day when Jesus stood alone
And felt the hearts of men like stone,
And knew He came but to atone-
That day "He held His peace."
They witnesses falsely to His word.
They bound Him with a cruel cord
And mockingly…

Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired.
How does a lamp burn? Through the continuous input of small drops of oil. If the drops of oil run out, the light of the lamp will cease, and the bridegroom will say, "I do not know you" (Matthew 25:12).
My daughters, what are these drops of oil in our lamps? They are the small things of daily life: faithfulness, punctuality, small words of kindness, a thought…

Hello Dear Peacemakers,
We invite you to take a moment now to attune to the Peace that is Present:
Focus on your breathing.
Let your body relax, and be aware of the sounds around you.
Whatever you hear, focus on your breath as it moves in and out,
Bringing you into the here and now.
This is where loving and peace reside.
Relax into the loving.
Be aware of peace radiating through you and extending out from you,
To gently hold…

I love that when I wake up in the morning and log on here, there is always an army of guardian angels ready to reach out their hands in peace. We are brothers, sisters, friends and comrades in the journey of peace.
Happy 1st day of March everyone, so far, the month is welcoming Lamb!!!
Heartfelt gratitude and joy.
Love,
Melody

IT LIES not on the sunlit hill
Nor on the sunlit plain:
Nor ever on any running stream
Nor on the unclouded main~
But sometimes, through the Soul of Man,
Slow moving o'er his pain,
The moonlight of a perfect peace
Floods heart and brain.
