Admin Enough-Jane's Sunday Sermon
Hi Rene
If you listen carefully and take note of
someone' actions, people always tell
you exactly what they are going to do you.
Enough...Jane's Sunday Sermon
On Friday as a woman, I was angry.
I was mortified and saddened to see my
country use a women in a way that dates
back to the 19th century.
I am talking about the pick of John McCain
of Sarah Palin to possibly be the next
Vice President of the Untied States.
I am not talking about the political aspect
of this. Whether you are a Democrat and
voting for Obama or a Republican and
voting for Mccain is not the issue.
The issue is the complete degradation of
all women in a cynical attempt to try
to get the votes of women, any women,
simply because you put the same plumbing
on a ticket.
Sarah Palin may be a terrific person and she
may be a disaster and that is not the point
No one even knows her including John McCain.
Which is definately the point.
John Mccain picked a person to be his
running mate who he met once and who
said in an interview with Larry Cudlow
just a month ago that she didn't know what
the vice president does.
This is like picking up a woman in a bar
having a one night stand and the next day
telling her the facts of life.
As a woman I am furious
As an American I am appalled by this behavoir.
Now, at this point you must be wondering
why I am writing to my lists, most of whom
are interested in business on the net and how
to advertise their busines.
I will tell you why
If you came to me for an interview and
wanted to be part of my organization but
you had no clue what we did or what the
job was you were interviewing for was,
would I hire you?
Of course not.
I would be doing a huge disservice to my
customers and putting a finger in their eye
and putting my own reputation on the line.
But, suppose this person who interviewed
with me, was a beauty queen and I could
publish her picture everywhere so that when
you came to my site, there would be this
beautiful women and you would have to stop
and look...a bauble to be dangled in front
of my customers.
Advertisers use this technique all the time.
They put babies or dogs in ads because they
attract customers and make people feel all
warm and fuzzy about their product even if
they are selling used cars.
I don't know about you, but I draw the line
when this is done to women,
I draw the line when this is done to my country.
Women have fought hard for the right to
vote and for rights to equal pay and for
the right to compete in the business world
and the political world. Like any other
group in America we have paid our dues.
Friday , we were made to look like fools
and, no matter what your usual political
bent is, it is time to say...
Enough.
