EFL University for World Peace

Hi, there! I am an EFL university professor from Maracaibo, Venezuela. I have the luck to teach at a great university in my hometown Rafael Belloso University , I also belong to a CoP called Webheads in Action, who have been my world friends since 2002. I was invited together with other two good teachers by dear friend Buthaina to participate for three minutes in a oline conference she's presenting in next Septemeber 26th. This conference main focus is on Peace. Well, what an honor and a party to go to...

I created a group called EFL University for World Peace at our school ning and invited all of my students and friends to join. Searching for material and intresting things to post in this group that could attract the mind s and hearts of my young and not so young students found great videos and ideas by people in the world who think Peace and love is the answer to so many problems.

I am an EFL teacher who loves integrating technology in her classes to connect students with different cultures and open their minds and hearts to a better world. Of course, I am in Facebook, where I found an invitation to celebrate Peace one Day, got directed to the Peace One Day site and found out about this celebration. My commiment then was to talk to my classes about Peace and Love. I did talk all week... 13 classes + 1. All of my students who are EFL students, got the message and participated in class. It was fun ... this week we will continue talking about the topic.. I intent to do so every new trimester...
