ADAPT: Congress- be initial cosponsors, Community Choice Act; etc..
Ask your U.S. Senators and Representative in Congress to become initial co-sponsors of the Community Choice Act (CCA)!
During the last Congress, we had a record number of legislators sign on as
co-sponsors of the Community Choice Act (CCA). This legislation ends the
institutional bias in the Medicaid program and gives people a real choice in
how and where they receive long term services and supports. When this
legislation is passed people won't be forced into a nursing facility or other
institution to get the assistance they need.
Because we now have a new Congress, the Community Choice Act needs to be
reintroduced. We want to reintroduce the Community Choice Act with as many
initial co-sponsors as we can get. We are confident that we can have a strong
start and get this important legislation passed this during Congress!
Use these links to contact your US Senators and Representative in Congress to
ask that they become initial co-sponsors of the Community Choice Act.

The Grim Reaper for HHS?
As you may have heard by now, Governor Bredesen of Tennessee is on the short
list of candidates to replace Daschle as nominee for Secretary of Health and
Human Services. Governor Bredesen was the Governor who led Tennessee to be
the worst state in the nation for long term services and supports, and was
Governor when last ADAPT went to Tennessee. If you would like to share your
