How do we go about building a culture of peace, tolerance and harmony within India and Pakistan? Please give us your suggestions. Also, please let us know if you can help in more concrete and practical ways.
As you know, India and Pakistan are facing serious danger to their integrity, security, and prosperity from what is currently happening within their own borders. It is urgent that we face up to this challenge by involving citizens, most particularly children and youth, in developing a culture of peace, tolerance and harmony. We need to help them learn the noble values of nonviolence, kindness, compassion, and empathy, and assist them in becoming good members of their family, neighborhood, and nation.
We are seeking opinions on this matter from other South Asian peace activists, and civil society leaders also. In this regard, if you wish us to contact someone you know, please send us that person's name and email address.
We will appreciate you for considered responses at asiapeace@comcast.ne
