Control vs Loving

Do you love someone because you love them,
or because of the way they love you?
Do you love someone because of their personality,
body, behavior, money, or position in the world?
Do you try to control the one you love
so that they behave the way you wish?

Control patterns we learn when we are very young
are often unconsciously expressed in our adult life.
If the child does not perform according to the adult's standards,
the adults often will withdraw their love so that the chldren
will do what is desirable in order to receive love.

how many times have you withdrawn your
expression of love because someone else didn't do
what you wanted, the way you wanted it?
Control over another cannot be exercised
if you stay within the consciousness of loving
