I received an email to check a featured blog post called "Desperation and Hypocracy". Some people posted a comment on that blog post, including me. I was trying to re-check to see if the writer of the post, or someone else replied or commented on my comment. The blog post disappeared! it is not there any more! It was a featured blog post, that "deserved" to be sent to members by email, then, the blog post was deleted along with all the comments on it! I don't know who deleted it, if it is the IPeace team, it is their right, this is their network and they are free to keep or delete anything. If it is the blog writer, also, it is her/his right, they wrote it and they can keep it or delete it, especially, if the comments did not serve their agenda or were not what they want to hear.

But deleting this post, also deleted the contribution of 4-6 members in the comments! I am not sure how "polite" or "nice" that is or even "ethical". But no surprises for me, I have seen it done in different forums too! One of them, even deleted a whole thread with 40-60 replies and 2000+ views!

I don't know, I just feel that some people cant handle the truth or the other point of view, they just want echoes of their voices and ideas.

I know that such deletion "waste" my time or contribution, whatever that is worth, but I will try, to comment, or even post in different forums, here or anywhere I can, to try to reveal the truth, what I believe is the truth.

These deletions are annoying, but, being an activist, we have to understand that some efforts will be wasted. I think I can live with that and I hope that sometimes, they will become really peace activists or truth seekers.

I dont know why that blog post was deleted, but I think it was not "nice" to waste the contribution of everyone who posted a comment on it.

Salam,(Peace, in Arabic)

It is a freedom of expression "thing", like firing this Jewish Editor!

Well Michael, you were wrong. Rather, the post was deleted because the comments to it were percieved as obscene. It isn't cool to be an Israeli that doesn't apologise for his/her own existence.

One of my friend express me, Hamas doesn't care about civilians (Children) anymore than Israel does.
But one of them would call for ceasefire by now, but BIG NO still, pride and personal gain is more important for Hamas and Israel government. What UN can do.

Dear friends,
I have not posted on that note, but do agree that any person who post or communicate what he thinks, has its value. We can agree or disagree but I find it good to be able to read not only "one bell" but many.... that IS the contribution of all of us. If we disagree with certain opinions we always have the chance to sit and talk, to try to understand why some people think that way and what its most important, to have the TOLERANCE to be able to hear what we dislike.

Whatever we hear makes us enlarge our scope, makes us maybe change a little bit what we were thinking or just have the prudence to know that there are others who think differently than us and we will be best persons if we have the gift to be able to accept that others dont agree with what we think, but can cope with that person. Or we are here just to hear what we do like???

If so.... how we pretend to find peace in this world?

Solidarity, Liberty and Tolerance

God bless us all and hope he take us all to the right pass to find Peace in the world.

This was the first blog discussion that I participated in on iPeace. Now it is deleted. So, why should I bother to contribute to a community that will delete my contribution? My first experience has been less than positive - not a good way to start out.
