meme: (pron. 'meem') A contagious idea that replicates like a virus, passed on from mind to mind. Memes function the same way genes and viruses do, propagating through communication networks and face-to-face contact between people. The root of the word "memetics," a field of study which postulates that the meme is the basic unit of cultural evolution. Examples of memes include melodies, icons, fashion statements and phrases.

For over a year now a highly destructive and extremely virulent Meta-complex meme - v.[OBAMA/MESSIAH] has been replicating itself within the collective "ideosphere." It began with the 2008 political campaign of Barrack Obama. v.[OBAMA/HOPE/CHANGE], was a political meme intially intended to rally the American youth into participating in the political process much like Pepsi advertises it's patent brand of carbonated syrup water to the same group of youth (and in fact their logos both resemble each other)

But within months v.[OBAMA/HOPE/CHANGE] began taking on the grandiose characteristics of v.[GANDHI] and even v.[HITLER] combinding mass political rallies with cult-like signs of public adoration. During the primary season v.[OBAMA/HOPE/CHANGE] became corrupted by two extremely infectious and dangerous replicators v.[MESSIAH/ARMAGEDDON] and v.[2012/NEWAGE] - both had symbiotically co-evolved together and are predicated on the destruction of the HOST.
This memetic drift was reinforced by the worldwide financial collapse, food riots, and the Middle East crisis. Current events combined with eschatology and post-millennialism provided a perfect incubator for both v.[MESSIAH/ARMAGEDDON] and v.[2012/NEWAGE] to go viral in a major way.

v.[2012/NEWAGE] was at one time a relatively benign virus until it became corrupted with the v.[MILLENNIUM] and v.[INCONVENIENTTRUTH] co-memes. Since then v.[2012/NEWAGE] has become a particularly virulent meme prophecising the destruction of the planet in 8 years.

It should come to no surprise then how both memes found a catalyst in v.[OBAMA/ HOPE/ CHANGE] transforming Obama from a South Side of Chicago political hack to a messianic figure in World History almost overnight. The Obama Campaign spent well over half a billion dollars in 2008 getting Barack elected and most of the money was spend on television advertising. What you heard about "Barack Obama" was exactly what they wanted you to hear about Barack Obama.

It's hoped that eventually one day v.[OBAMA/MESSIAH] will take on the benign attributes of v.[KENNEDY/CAMELOT] and lose it's destructive replicators. If we don't halt the virulent spread of v.[OBAMA/MESSIAH] soon we could be facing some serious consequences in the near future. As a Nation we're looking ahead at a global financial meltdown, an 8.5 trillion dollar Recession, massive job layoffs, widespread homelessness and food riots here in this country, and possible war with Iran overseas. ect, ect. In such a profound state of crisis what is Obama going to do to maintain the social order? Simple! He's going to create a capitalist form of Left-wing authoritarianism.

Left-wing authoritarian regimes revolve around a "Cult of Personality" ie: Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Kim Jong-Il, where the glorious leader is considered to be "god-like" in his ability to run the country. A cult of personality or personality cult arises when a country's leader uses the mass media to create a heroic public image through unquestioning flattery and praise. Cults of personality are often found in dictatorships, but can just as easily evolve in technologically advanced and multi-media saturated Democracies.
It'll either be the "carrot" or the "stick" soon. Either you join your neighborhood Obama youth cadre, or block watchers, or you'll be "criticized" in group meetings - "I find your lack of faith disturbing"- ack *gag*! and shipped off to a government-funded make-work program/re-education camp, where most of the millions of unemployed will be sent to anyways.

Obama's proposed "mandatory universal service" consist of several federally funded programs of indoctrination beginning at age 11 and continuing until college. Once you turn 18 Obama will be offering an annual tax credit of $4,000 toward college tuition. In return for the credit, college students will be required to perform 100 hours of community service every year for four years - most likely an R.O.T.C.-type program. When a student graduates from college, he will have done on average about 11 years of "Obama's Youth Brigade ...er.. "community service," at a minimum of 50-100 hours each year. Almost all college graduates will have spent a total workweek equivalent of at least four to five months of their lives working in Obama’s “national security force,” starting at the tender age of 11.

Is Obama planning on bring back the Draft??

Comment by bodhi on February 25, 2009 at 8:46pm: Well, Jeannie, the purpose of my post was not to bring out any fear in you, just awareness, nor is it to imply that Obama is the "anti-christ" (that's a subset of v.[MESSIAH/ARMAGEDDON] meme, not me) I have a tee-shirt that says "DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU THINK" and if you study the interesting field of memetics you would understand what that means. The Barrack Obama campaign spent a half a billion dollars in 2008 to convince you to vote for their candidate. That's more money than what coke spends yearly to get you to drink their carbonated soda water. What you know about Barrack Obama is exactly what the Obama campaign wants you to know about Barrack Obama.

Your comments bring out a fear in me. I sense a little of the "Left Behind" series and expect next you to be talking about things like the Anti-Christ, which takes me back to my days living with my fundamentalists family in Kentucky, and these all bring me to a state of nausea. I left those days behind along with my family ties because of thinking like this...I certainly didn't expect to see it on the ipeace site.
In my peace work and spirituality work I have learned that love will and has conquered in all aspects. Thinking like you have shown here is what keeps the fear in control. Yes, I am truly an Obama fan and think he is the best thing this country has seen in decades. But, my comments come more from a position of pity for you as a self proclaimed lover of peace, your words are full of fear, envy, pain, pessimism,...all the things that having true Peace removes...maybe you should try another social network...maybe iPeace isn't what you are looking for...Blessings and true Peace to you...and as far as the Friend invitation, I think maybe Motorcycle Hippie Al and I are more closely suited...Namaste'
