Elephone are rumoured to be working on a new flagship phone to compete with the Meizu MX4 Pro and Elephone G7 devices.
This year Elephone have promised a couple of mid range smartphones running the latest MT6752 LTE processors, but what we didn’t expect from them was a flagship device that would go in direct competition with high-end Meizu and Xiaomi devices.
While speaking to our source at Elephone today, our insider let slip that the Elephone team are currently working on a new Elephone P8 Pro 2GB RAM phone that will sport a Mediatek MT6795 chipset, 2K display and 20.7 mega-pixel rear camera. The unnamed phone is being developed to compete with flagship phones and apparently out performs the Meziu MX4 Pro and Xiaomi Mi Note (standard edition).
Our source informed us that a May release date is planned, but as Elephone still haven’t released their Elephone and P8000 phones we won’t hold our breath until June.
