if you're reading this message, then it's very likely that you play with real madrid in seasons/tournaments. how do i know this? because more than 50% of my opponents are always real madrid. in fact, at different times, real madrid has been my opponent more than 80% of the time. this is completely preposterous. i beat real madrid more often than not, so this isn't just sour grapes from someone who can't get past those boring white uniforms.

so, i've thought about it a lot: how can EA work it out so that players are encouraged to vary their team selection more in a fair manner to their opponents? i think i've figured out a solution.

in the matchmaking settings, fut16coin think it would be cool if you could limit the number of times you play the same team. an "Opponent Variation" setting could allow me to select that i play no single team more than 10%, 25%, or 50% in seasons and tournaments. the way that this would impact all of the hacks who play with real madrid is that it would algorithmically decrease their possible number of matches, which would reward them for playing with other teams without excluding them from playing with real madrid. and this wouldn't just affect real madrid -we all know that there are about six teams that 99% of players use. it would be cool if the aforementioned mechanism were put into place, which would result in the more casual fans among us broadening their soccer knowledge by playing with--gasp--less than 5 star teams like everton or fiorentina or besiktas, etc.

While I feel comfortable assuming that 85% or more of people who play with Real Madrid because they have the highest rated unit of players in the game, I know that there are those, like you (supposedly), who are Real Madrid fans. BTW, how long have you followed Real Madrid? If you say anything less than 5 years, you're a bandwagon fan, just the same as all the others. And the fact that you have two favorite teams means that you're not committed, which also suggests that you're a bandwagon fan.

My point, though, is that I would like to have a setting in my matchmaking settings that allows me the option to set a variation limit to the teams that I am matched against. In other words, I think I should be permitted to change my settings so that I play no single team (Real Madrid) more than 50% of the time. Do you not think it's fair that I would prefer to play more than one team, over and over again?

As a Real Madrid player, how often is your opponent Real Madrid? Just think about it: out of 20 games, if you play with Real Madrid and 10 of your opponents play with Real Madrid, then that would mean that 30 of the 40 possible matched teams are a single team. That is 75%. And that would be the result if you played with Real Madrid and mandated that you play no other team more than 50% of the time. Naturally, this would limit the number of players with Real Madrid from being matched because of the logjam of all of you, so some would find new teams to play with.

On a side note. whether or not you love Real Madrid, your skills suffer from playing with them because their players each have near unlimited ability. Playing with Real Madrid is just gaming the system. And it allows a lot of players who are not particularly skilled to win games against superior opponents, just because the opponent's team may not be solely comprised of players who are better dribblers, tacklers, passers, shooters, and headers than 99.99% of all other players on every other team in the game.
