Taking care of your hands should be an essential part of your daily skincare regime, because they are dead giveaways about your actual age.

Apply sunscreen

"Harmful UVA sun rays break down the natural collagen and elastin, thereby, making your skin look wrinkled," says cosmetic physician Dr Rashmi Shetty. Therefore, one of the first and easiest steps to younger hands is to keep them protected from the sun. A generous coat of a good quality sunscreen needs to be applied frequently throughout the day.

Just like our facial skin loses its plumpness with age due to loss of hyaluronic acid, the skin on our hands too sags and loses its youthful glow as years go by. Lifestyle habits like yo-yo dieting might affect the skin and make it look older. Adequately moisturise
