Taking care of your hands should be an essential part of your daily skincare regime, because they are dead giveaways about your actual age.
Right from preparing food, to applying makeup, texting, showing off your diamond ring to even a simple handshake — your hands, every day, are playing an important role and deserve to be cared for and pampered just like your face.
Apply sunscreen
"Harmful UVA sun rays break down the natural collagen and elastin, thereby, making your skin look wrinkled," says cosmetic physician Dr Rashmi Shetty. Therefore, one of the first and easiest steps to younger hands is to keep them protected from the sun. A generous coat of a good quality sunscreen needs to be applied frequently throughout the day.
Dermal fillers
Just like our facial skin loses its plumpness with age due to loss of hyaluronic acid, the skin on our hands too sags and loses its youthful glow as years go by. Lifestyle habits like yo-yo dieting might affect the skin and make it look older. Cosmetologist Dr Jamuna Pai suggests, "The solution to that is to replace the lost volume with dermal fillers — these offer a non-surgical approach that can help in reclaiming your youthful appearance."
Adequately moisturise
Taking care of your hands has to be a regular thing because it is one of the most exposed parts of your body — not just constant sun exposure, but also contact with water and detergents. Experts recommend applying intense moisturisers on them throughout the day.Read more at:orange prom dresses
