Everyone still likes Joe Thornton and what he brings to the table, except his GM apparently.

Thornton couldn't Lead The Team by himself and therefore he couldn't be captain any more. Rather than see that the Sharks had one of the best rosters in the league and went through a fluke loss to one of the most successful teams assembled in the salary cap era and consequently standing pat with what he had, Wilson went shopping for accountability and toughness and whatever other buzzwords he could find.
