French President Nicolas Sarkozy 'brands journalist a paedophile'
Mr Sarkozy lashed out at reporters who were quizzing him at the NATO summit in Lisbon last Friday, according to L'Express magazine KD 6 Shoes Sale Online. The trigger was a question about kickbacks connected to a 1995 Pakistani arms deal.
"You say anything, you check nothing," he said to the huddle, later singling out one journalist in particular to make his point about verifying accuracy.
"You are a paedophile, I firmly believe that. I've seen the secret services but I won't say which ones. I saw someone but I won't say who, and it was all spoken. But I firmly believe you are a paedophile!"
The president walked out allegedly saying: "See you tomorrow, pedophile friends!"
The conversation was recorded by summit microphones, but the tapes were subsequently erased as the journalists' briefing was meant to be off the record.
A spokesman for Mr Sarkozy has since denied he "ever insulted a journalist by calling him a paedophile 2015 Air Max For Sale."
