Life situations change. What goes up eventually comes down. True modesty is not the absence of pride. It is the realization that there is a cyclical nature of balance and karma. When we adopt a modest attitude, we embrace the understanding that life has its ups and downs. This allows us to find balance, which in turn, helps us to see reality for what it is, and not for what we wish it to be.
