Honor can be the battered shield that protects us or the fiery sword that we wield in the battles of Life. Honor is the set of underlying principles and beliefs upon which we build our character. To live with honor is to be true to yourself and to follow your principles even when it may be inconvenient or dangerous to do so. There is no shame in failing if we are true to ourselves; it only exists when we abandon our own values.
