If you took the plunge and planted some seeds after reading the article on growing safe food at home, you probably have some nice seedlings by now. You can see the ones here, planted a few days after Mother’s Day. The peppers and zucchini did not come up and will have to be replanted, but the others came up one variety at a time until they all appeared. Soon they’ll be ready for transplanting to pots.
The flat-panel multicolored led grow lighting worked well; the plants seem to love it. They look an odd color when it is turned on, but aside from that and the fact that you can’t look directly at the lights (they’ll disorient you), it’s a champ. I highly recommend it. It’s lightweight and was easy to install.
Until you can harvest your own safe vegetables, you can soak the ones you get in a solution . liquid clay such as Sonne’s #7 in a bowl of water before eating; the clay will remove the radiation magnetically. Nutra Foods Huber Heights has a very nice selection of liquid and powdered clays, including some new cosmetic products that contain clay. You’ll find the Sonne’s brand liquid clay, which contains both Montmorillonite and Bentonite clays, as well as Zion Health’s Ancient Clay Body Care products and Redmond Trading’s The Healing Clay. These are good to have on hand for a variety of applications, even after your crop comes up and you have vegetables that do not need to be soaked in it.So you can buy best led grow lights.
One thing you’ll like about growing vegetables indoors is that you’re not in bondage to the weather. Recently, Dayton has been hit with some heavy rains, and if these little seedlings had been outside, they would have washed away. Drought is another seedling-killer. Indoors, there are no harsh weather conditions, so rain, shine, snow, or hail, you can have vegetables year-round. Think how much fun it will be to harvest your own fresh herbs and vegetables in the winter—just a few seconds from picking to eating. That’s not to mention how much better the flavor and nutritional value will be.
