Inside Nicky Hilton’s luxurious London wedding

Nicky Hilton married British banking heir James Rothschild Friday at London’s Kensington Palace, uniting two of the world’s best-known wealthy dynasties.

Guests at the lavish affair, held at the palace’s Orangery — which is close to the London residence of Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge — included a host of New Yorkers. Among them: Chelsea Clinton (not known for her friendship with the Hiltons) and husband Marc Mezvinsky, Blackstone’s Steve Schwarzman, Julia Koch, Debbie Bancroft, Dennis Basso, Somers Farkas, Harry LeFrak, Anne Hearst and Jay McInerney.

Also there were the couple’s wealthy and aristocratic friends, including Petra Ecclestone and Princess Charlotte’s godfather Thomas van Straubenzee, plus Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece — because nothing feels better than being at a lavish society wedding when your country is fighting to stay afloat.

Nicky, 31, looked beautiful in a couture Valentino lace gown and long veil, and was photographed emerging from Claridge’s hotel with her father, Rick Hilton. Her sister Paris, who was maid of honor, emerged in a blue bridesmaid’s gown with their mother, Kathy.

Paris had written on social media before the multimillion dollar wedding, “So happy that my sister found the man of her dreams. They make the perfect couple! So excited for their wedding today!”

After the ceremony in the Orangery, guests were ushered into the gardens for cocktails while Hilton and Rothschild posed with their wedding party for pictures, followed by a dinner in a magnificent white tent on the lawn of the palace gardens. Naomi Campbellwas later spotted as the party went into the night.
