Leeds agency Works celebrates World Cup winA Leeds design agency has scored a contract to work on the branding for the fifa PS3 Coins in Brazil.
Works' World Cup coup comes after it won a six-way pitch against unnamed, international agencies.
The 2014 tournament logo (pictured) has already been designed by the Brazilian agency Africa. It will be Works' task to create the look for scores of materials including the stadium dressing, programmes and tickets.
Managing director Roy Webber said: "We've been working with FIFA for a couple of years now and helped them out [with the brand roll-out] at the last World Cup in South Africa. They said they'd like us to pitch for the World Cup in Brazil and we did and we won it, so we're doing the whole look for the thing in Brazil."
As well as the prestigious brief from FIFA, Works has been hired by European football body UEFA to develop the branding for the 2012 Champions League final.
The agency has created branding for eight of the last 12 Champions League finals, including last year's final in Madrid, and it will be "creating and rolling out the full event design" for the 2012 showpiece in Munich.
The latest wins mark a good run of sporting success for Works, which created the event identity for the NBA's tour of fifa 14 ultimate team ps3 coins in 2010 and the 2010 FIBA (basketball) World Championship.
