I will always remember my Fathers words to me as he lay dying from cancer "Go now son and play music all over this world. Tell people who you are, where you have come from and where your going...If I could, I would come with you but for me,it is only a dream now...for you..you can fulfill that dream".
At the time my head was such a mess, there was my Father, the ROCK of my life, leaving this world yet still giving me his wisdom and advice. For years after I wrote song after song after song..totally inspired, driven by his words, desperately trying to make that difference to someone,somewhere...I developed a passion for EARTH MUSIC..."Flamenco"..Maybe something lurking in my Irish/Spanish gypsy blood was calling me..My passion for music led me to lay down tributes to Salvador Dali,Picasso..wild men of art, genuises, individuals who broke all the the rules in the name of LOVE..ART..EXPRESSION OF FAITH.For two years I burst every nail on my hands, painfully learning the disciplines of the gypsies, then the strangest of things happened in the summer 2008.Something led me to find the music that my Father loved...OPERA..It was as if he was somehow telling me to find it...In the vastness of music in the world I strangely sourced the arai from Puccinis La Boheme.."CHE GELIDA MANINA" That was it!!...as soon as I heard it it reminded me of my childhood, hearing the wonderfully powerful sounds of Puccini as my Dad escaped from his working life as an engineer in hot, oily factory. This was most definitely an affirmation (the first of many) and a calling to use the most powerful gift I had been given...MY VOICE...It alone mirrors my soul, truley expresses my thoughts, carries the messages of my heart and my dreams,my sadness,my joy,my love,my beliefs,my pain...When my beloved brother Gerard committed suicide 5 years ago I knew then, that I had a duty bestowed upon me to become a messenger of Peace and to in anyway help someone, somewhere, somehow make a difference,no matter how small, but somehow to connect with people all over our beautiful world and use my voice to carry a positive and peaceful message..My call is for WORLD PEACE through my WORLD MUSIC..Collectively we can shape our Earth as to how it should be...Thats really what my Father was meaning.Thats my aspiration my inspiration and vision, and it is my sole duty to carry the tears of peoples pain in my voice.... until we find it....

Thank you for your message...........music has always been a great leveller for the people residing on this Planet from the beginning of time.I remember during an anti-Vietnam demonstration at Trafalgar Square, London, U.K. around '68/'69,Mick Farren a musician/journalist shouting through a microphone,"The way is guitars not bullets".I remember that vividly from all those years ago............He was right. Now it's well past it's time for the demi-gods and World leaders to take stock of themselves and start to use music as an aide to World peace and not missiles and guns.........Music links everyone,no matter where on this Planet they are from............Peace to you and all those close and dear to you.

Yes Martin, one world, one people. You who know the true meaning of a father's love, to you and the humanity. Do send out the beautiful vibrations that come out from deep within your heart, linked with that of the Supreme Father to all his children, one no different from the other. So that it will resonate in every nook and corner of the world, to touch, heal and give solace to all the grieving souls. Welcome to the fold and a warm hug from me.

So much passion behind your writing and your voice! Yesterday when I read the article and saw the picture of that young soldier who's picture was all over the news, my heart hurt. As I listened to your song, even though I don't know what were the words, I felt the tragedy of that story and prayed for all the mothers and fathers who lost their children to war. That is what your song inspired me to do, it was beautiful! Thank you!
