After joining iPeace I realise this was not for nothing, I had to give Peace a bit more attention and what better way then to ponder on the issue? My pondering in general comes from taking a subject in mind and meditating on it, this means let my subconscious or the universal conscious (some also call this the Holy Spirit) give me some answers.
Real Peace is like Real Love, it is never changing, it is eternal and this is why we say it is of God. We are also created like God so we also should be able to experience Peace (we only seem to be given the opportunity when we pass away as then we are told: Rest in Peace!)
So why do so few people experience true Peace, I think because in the world of form we assume everything is a commodity, meaning we assume it is something we can get from someone or something, from changing circumstances from the changing world. We even think that we can buy it or we might get it once our situation changes (retirement, new love, walking away from a problem)
Real Peace like Real Love can only be found within and not outside of us. Real Peace is not a commodity but a way of being. It is a choice that we make about us in this world, every time I find a disturbance I feel I don’t need I will say: “I choose Peace instead of this” In this way I have found nothing in this world has to change because I choose to be at Peace NOW.
1. Stop expecting to get Peace from someone or something else; take full responsibility for your Emotions.
2. Stop all judgement; accept all as it is. That is the reality of our world Now.
OK for all your activists that are impatient to get in and tell me nothing will change sitting on a fence I have found this:
1. My favourite saying: We change the world not by what we say or do but as a consequence of what we have become. Thus, every spiritual aspirant serves the world.
2. It is proven that when groups of people come together in meditation or in prayer for Peace, that this will have a positive effect on the city or area where this is done and statistics have proven that crime rates and disorderly behaviour have been reduced.
