Sheshatshiu wins bronze at provincials

In game one, Sheshatshiu tied Torngat Mountains 6 6. Torngat scorers were Russell Barbour and Anthony Harris with two goals each, while Julius Piogge and Dennis Merkuratsuk scored single goals.

Colin Rich led team Sheshatshiu, with two goals. David Flynn, Gabriel Nuna, Mattew Penunsi, and Takan Antvan added www.immopolisparis.fr singles.

Coach George Cabot said Game three was a hard hitting affair with Sheshatshiu drawing seven minor penalties. Springdale capitalized on several man advantage situations to take decisive victory.

Sheshatshiu defeated LaScie, in game three, by a score of 5 3. Mattew Penunsi scored of 5 3. Mattew Penunsi scored 2 goals of 5 3. Mattew Penunsi scored 2 goals for Sheshatshiu, while David Flynn, Takon Antvan and Colin Rich scored single goals.

In the final game, of the Round Robin Tournament, Bay d'Espoir defeated team Sheshatshiu 5 2. Natan Jack and Mattew Penunsi scored for Sheshatshiu.

When asked how his team performed at the tournament, head www.vehicule-occasion-toulouse.fr coach George Cabot had nothing but praise for the effort put forward by the team.

"Sheshatshiu is at the beginning stages of its minor hockey system," Mr. Cabot said.

"This was a learning experience for the players because this was the first time that a majority of the players, played minor hockey and the first time they played in a Provincial hockey tournament. They behaved themselves really well and were good Ambassadors for the community of Sheshatshiu," he said.

Mr. Cabot also said, "While all the players gave their best effort, a couple of players stood out and should be recognized for their determination and grit."

"Goalie Jack Evans played great throughout the whole tournament. Takan Antvon was a threat every time he stepped on the ice," Mr. Cabot said.

"Mattew Penunsi is a young defenseman, who started playing hockey this year. He was hurt in the bronze medal game but he played well, and showed a lot of courage and desire," he said.

"Also Andre Phillips is another player, who really developed into a dependable defenseman. He is 16 years old, just started playing hockey and he is awesome. He is going to be a force, a hard hitting player who was named Player of the Game against www.marieclairedanen.fr LaScie," Mr. Cabot said.

According to Mr. Cabot the team had a lot of fun, learned a great deal and will certainly benefit from the experience of competing in the tournament. He also thanks his Coaches Joseph Rich, Luke Rich and Patrick Rich for their support and the efforts they made to make this trip possible.
