A WOMAN who only realised how big she was when she tried on a new dress has lost 3½ stone – and wants to teach other overweight people how to shed the pounds.
Vicky Green, from Taunton, is feeling healthier and fitter after slimming down to her ideal weight.
Vicky, who suffered depression and aching joints as she got bigger, said: “My ‘light bulb’ moment was in Marks and Spencer trying a dress on.
“I was convinced I was a size 16 and picked up the dress expecting it to fit - but it didn't, and neither did the 18.

“It was at that point as I slipped the size 20 over my head that I started crying and realised I had to do something about it.”
She joined a Weight Watchers group and as the pounds disappeared, her joints began to feel better and her depression improved.
She wants to pass on her tips to other people and is running Weight Watchers meetings in St James Church, Taunton, from 10am on Saturday, January 3.
“I feel great after losing weight,” said Vicky.
“To be able to pass on my experiences and inspire our members so that others can feel as great as I do is brilliant.
“I feel I am able to empathise with members as I have been in a similar situation to them.”
