Down it came
An avenging God
Seeking redress
For imagined slights

His altar the World
His sacrifice a child
Bereft of Hope

I saw the victims one happy Christmas

Eviscerated
Vaporized
Disassembled and pierced like cigarette smoke
Swirling confused in a seedy bar

It blazed electric
Crimson

Like shed pain
