The Mirror

I do not like the Mirror,for it is not my friend,
it dosen't show my begining,nor can I see my end,
The Mirror is Honest and daring,but not too very caring,
the pain and strife,throughout my life,
and how I came to be, the man that I now see,
No,I don't like this looking glass,
I cannot see my furure,it only shows my past,
The pain inside I've tried to hide,
the Youth and Love,the Truth of Love,
that's long been denied,
every line and wrinkle,eyes that used to twinkle,
life and love that I once had,
my eyes have now,grown old and sad,
I don't like the Mirror,it won't show the Real Me,
it only shows the world,the man I've come to be,
there is no grace,no forgotten glory,
just lines on my face and my forgotten story,
I can't see where I'm going,I can't see my goal,
No,I don't like the Mirror,it won't show my soul...
