The Stillness in the Motion - (this will bend your head)
There is an saying in ancient wisdom that goes something like this:
The stillness in the stillness is not the true stillness,
It is when you know the stillness in motion that you know the true stillness.
Let us say that we all admit a Creator, and that however we conceive this Creator, It must be infinite. Thus, being infinite, there can be no outside of the Creator, as there is no "outside" of infinity. Also, we must concede that the Creator (in its totality) cannot have a body, as a body is a limitation, and again, infinity cannot be limited by anything, not even a body. In fact the Creator cannot have any qualities that can actually be described, as anything that can be described is limited to the contents of that description. If the Creator does not have a body (or any descriptive qualities), per se, then the Creator by Its essential nature must not be "physical" or "describable" in any sense of the words. The Creator must be entirely "Spiritual". Spiritual, as used here meaning the Prime Directive or the Source "Causative" Force which is behind all existence, all wisdom, Intelligence, awareness and substance -- the only dynamic essence in existence; the only reality. It is that which defies all description; that which we can never know directly, but only experience through its effects. The only essence or medium of this Spiritual force would have to be unbound like itself; that which we call "Mind", and the only "action" of Mind being "thinking", and the only "product" of Mind being "thought". It then stands to reason that all that exists, is thought, and therefore the entire "physical" Universe is "thought substance" within the Universal Mind being acted upon by The Spirit -- our bodies and brains included. And that which is the Spirit must certainly be the same in like and kind at every point. Thus the All-In-All exists in its totality at every point. By natural extension, then, everything MUST certainly take its existence within, the Infinite Creative Source -- The All-In-All -- and be the same in like and kind as the Universal -- In Its Image and after Its Likeness.
We are a reproduction of the Universal Mind in the individual Mind, the Microcosm to the Macrocosm -- all within the Infinite -- the All-In-All. It then would stand to reason, that by our direct connection to the Universal, what we are is also extended to the infinite. Thus through the oneness of all that is, we exist in our totality at every point as well -- we fill what is termed Universal space along with every other living thing. Spirit is not bound by space or time, thus that which is Spirit, is inter-penetrating, or able to equally occupy the same point as all other Spirit simultaneously, as all Spirit is ONE Spirit. What you are, I am, and what I am, you are, as we are all ONE. All life is ONE life, and the only differentiating factor is the degree of awareness of that Life. The more we are aware of the Life the more we become like it -- the greater our life and our livingness. As ALL life is in Its Image and after Its Likeness then that which is true for the Universal must surely be true for us, the Individual, the only difference being that of degree. As well, that which is true for the Individual must surely be true for the Universal, as it cannot impart qualities into us which itself does not possess (even if only in potential form). You cannot take out of the bag that which you do not have in the bag to begin with.
The Spirit as well as the Mind cannot be bound by the constraints of space or time, as neither has height, nor width nor depth. Neither comes or goes, both just simply "are". No shape, color or quantity can be applied to either and no limitation or duration is imaginable as well. This being said, then, the all of the "physical" Universe, as we perceive it, is therefore contained as thought substance within a dimensionless Mind, having no height, width or depth -- thus a dimensionless point. Suddenly it becomes quite clear as to how the All-In-All exists in its entirety at every point simultaneously -- there is only one point. It is our perception, or the way that which we "are", the Individual Mind, translates and experiences, that which is the Universal Mind. Our perception creates the sense of space, time and the sense of the physical. All of which are very real from the standpoint of the objective faculties (also part of the thought substance). It is the medium through which the Universal Mind and Individual Mind express and experience themselves and each other. It is the medium through which the Life-In-Itself by its causative nature manifests the Life and the Livingness of the limitless forms in which it is evidenced.
Up to and including this point, I do not believe that this line of reasoning has broken the intelligible thread that connects cause and effect. Now with this bare bones framework or "looking glass" of speculative reasoning, I would like to propose a little scenario. Let us suppose that you were to "travel" from Los Angeles to New York taking whatever path you see fit without the benefit of car, bus, train or plane. During your travels you traverse many a pathway, numbers of roadways and highways, through fields and over hill and dale. You scale mountains and swim across rivers and lakes and ultimately you would achieve your objective -- namely New York. To the conscious element of the mind, through all outward appearances, you would no doubt be correct in assessing your trip as comprised of a great deal of movement on both your part, and on that of the environment around you (rushing waters, tumbling rocks, swaying grasses and trees, smiling waving people etc.).
Now let us apply our "looking glass" to this journey and translate these very same sensations and experiences under a new light. If the "Whole of the physical Universe" exists within the Universal Mind as thought substance, and the Mind is dimensionless, then the "Whole of the physical Universe" exists within a dimensionless point. Therefore, there is nowhere to move from, and nowhere to move to. And since you being at oneness with the "whole", occupy all of "Universal Space" (so-to-speak) as well, you are not capable of what could be termed as physical movement in any definition of the concept, as you are already everywhere. On the other hand what you can do is to experience or "become aware of" successive states of that which exists in its entirety at all points simultaneously, already -- prior to any awareness on your part. As the whole of existence is not contingent upon your awareness of it in order that it exist on any level. Thus what you perceive to be your "body" (which is simply a point of operation for what you really are) already exists in every conceivable place and position and condition imaginable simultaneously throughout the entirety of perceived Universal Space (in potential form). You simply become aware of the necessary interconnected instances of yourself and your environment that connect Los Angeles with New York as your awareness passes from one state to the next in logical succession to complete the desired task. Therefore neither you, nor your perceived body, actually "move", (every aspect of the environment's and body's positions pre-exist the perceived motion) only your awareness of the necessary states transcends, and the sensation of "travel" or "movement" is experienced. Simple enough, right?
This delicate tissue of events we call Universe is all Life, and truly is an ongoing miracle of unfathomable beauty and perfection as you can see. And if the Laws of the Universe weren't absolutely perfect and infinitely certain the whole thing would simply not work and nothing could ever exist at all. Now let's consider just one more little thing. Let's imagine your trip from Los Angeles to New York again, but this time let us only consider the very first slice or state, starting off in L.A., and the very final state, arriving in N.Y., and disregard all of the successive states that lay in between the two. Since all of the states pre-exist the task at hand we still haven't broken that thread of continuity between cause and effect (we just made a more discrete selection as to which instances we illuminate), and this time you simply cease to exist in Los Angeles and begin to exist in New York; instantaneously.
Now consider the cosmos at large . . .
