Turmoil in Bangkok

I'm currently in Bangkok which today has suffered from extreme violence . At least 27 buildings were set alight this afternoon. There is a curfew imposed by the Thai government and the atmosphere is extremely tense

The above article asks an interesting question. Is the civil unrest in Bangkok and other areas of Thailand a precursor of things to come globally? How would our governments in the west react to their own citizens openly rebelling against globalisation and the restrictions imposed by the so called new world order?
