Water nourishes
The hungriest of soil
Fills the sap
Of tallest trees
Water released
Through the clouds
Pours energy into me
Water comprises
Most of my body
Water covers
Most of the earth
For what is life without water
A desert?
What is my soul without rain
Barren?
Water cleanses me
No matter how dirty I am
Water quenches my thirst
No matter how thirsty
Water heals me
No matter how wounded
Water freezes
Water flows
Water is mist
The mist of life itself
Without water
I cease to exist
As do
Trees, plants, and animals
The largest of mammals
Is carried by you
The smallest of creatures
Crawled out of you
When I was conceived
I was held in your arms
When I die
Your rains
Will return me to soil
Water cools
The hottest of fires
Water carries life
Through my blood
Without water
There is only dust
There is no connection
To hold energy
Together
Is water love
The essence
That binds us all?
Can we sustain ourselves
Our planet
With polluted water?
Water never dies
It only changes forms
We are like water
Though we can only see
Our reflection
When it is pure
Submerged in water
I find myself
Blue water
Deep water
Pure water
Pure soul
