MEQUINOL is a topical drug that takes care of the skin when all hopes of having a normal skin seems to be out of reach or far from sight. It helps restore skin and give you a top feeling.  It gives an even toned skin to a person whose skin colour is uneven.

These days, some black skinned people make use of MEQUINOL in their cosmetic regimen to enable have a lighter skin complexion.

Over a period of years, MEQUINOL has gradually taken over the use of Hydroquinone and that is a safe alternative. When used as a skin lightening cream, it is unknown how it works but some users of the cream have reported that the result of a lighter skin starts showing within a period of 6 weeks of usage.  Anyone making use of the cream, or soap, or powder should be very careful in ensuring that it does not get into the mouth, eyes or nose in the course of applying it to the skin. If it accidentally does, that part of the body should be quickly rinsed with lots of water. It should also be stored in a place where children cannot have access to it.

A user of MEQUINOL has to be very careful in exposure to sunlight or artificial UV rays which come from tanning beds or sunlamps as this can lead to sunburn. Constant use of mequinol can make the skin to become sensitive to sunlight which may lead to sunburn occurring in the skin. It is advised that a mequinol user should apply some sunscreen (minimum SPF 15) and also wear some protective clothing to prevent the skin from getting sunburns.

If peradventure sunburn occurs, the use of mequinol must be stopped to prevent further damage to the skin until the affected area is completely healed. The risk of sunburn increases if anyone using it is also using either of the following drugs: Fluoroquinolones (eg, levofloxacin), phenothiazines (eg, chlorpromazine), sulfonamides (eg, glipizide, sulfamethoxazole), tetracyclines (eg, doxycycline), or thiazide diuretics (eg, hydrochlorothiazide,it is highly recommended that the user consult with the doctor or pharmacist before making use of mequinol to be sure that there will be no interaction between mequinol and the listed drugs.

A pregnant woman is strongly advised not to make use of mequinol in any form. There is a great likelihood that the foetus will be affected and its usage also affects the breast milk. Anyone who is planning to get pregnant should not make use of mequinol.  It is strongly advised that before using it, a woman should take birth control pills.

If when MEQUINOL is applied to the skin any allergy such as: difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat occurs the user should immediately seek for medical attention.

Every form of MEQUINOL should be stored at room temperature and where it can neither be affected by moisture, heat or light. When it is not in use, it should be kept in a safe place and should not be exposed to heat or open flame because MEQUINOL is flammable.
