Who are we trying to fool?

We believe that fine words, universal declarations of love, light, sunshine , meditation, God and his angels, etc. etc. .. will reduce violence in society. We believe we can shine our way to peace.

We think we can fill the word LOVE with substance by repeating it often enough.
Instead we are draining this beautiful word of its original meaning. We are telling each other what good peace workers we are by trying to win the shining competition and we adress to the already believers who can not even absorb more light but only reflect it back to the sender. So goes the light pointless back and forth in already-lit rooms, without even touching upon the darkness

We are doing more and more of the same and less and less of what is needed; understanding, analysis and action . We have removed ourselves from honesty, truth and courage to face the reality

Who are we trying to fool? The only people who believe in the message is already cheated.
Violence, war and misery are our reality, and it requires more than pretty words.
So let us help each other to open up I-Peace , for the sorrow, the pain, the misery, the abuse, the violence etc. That could be a first step to something better.
At least an honest try..

We owe all who suffer to act in their cause and we owe it to ourselves to use our light more meaningful, and not dazzle each other.
Light was added to illuminate the darkness and that is our task, this is why we are here on earth and also why we are on this network (or should be)

Well said, Gunilla! If we can not find deeper meaning we are just "dazzling" and "reflecting light"-instead of illuminating the darkness! Bravo! Yes, if we only "play with the surface", the deeper meaning will be lost. This Sunday in our church we had a guest pastor who spoke on the message of the day, All Saints Day, "blessed are the Peacemakers". He was a retired Pastor, whose father had died of a heart attack at a very young age over 50 yrs. ago. He had been a Texas Ranger, a special "law man". A man of great faith whose job was to "uphold the law". He told of a day when his father had watched a neighbor of his stop along the highway near a river to drop into it a large burlap sack. Then he drove away. Reacting quickly, his father had driven to the spot and quickly ran into the river to retrieve what turned out to be a dozen kittens, still alive, but wet. What he should have done was to act according to the law. What he did was surprising. His neighbor was an unfriendly person. How could he "reach" this man? He quickly took the kittens into his car and drove a road only he had access to back to his neighbor's house, and got there before him. There he placed the dozen crying kittens on his neighbor's front doorstep, and drove away. He watched with binoculars from a distance to see what would happen when his neighbor came home! His neighbor, needless to say, was baffled, amazed, and "spooked" by the kittens back at his home! He looked up at the sky...wondering...where could they have come from? This man became a changed human being, and never parted with the 12 kittens that he kept and took care of. Instead of causing legal problems for his neighbor, the Ranger had taken the true role of a "Peacemaker". His reaction to the situation brought about a "peaceful" solution, and also created another "Peacemaker" in the process. This unfriendly neighbor became a great citizen and man of faith-never knowing the true story behind the re-appearing kittens! Our role is that of a Peacemaker. Each of us needs to take a good look at who we are and how we react to those around us. What can we do to make this world a better place? It all starts with US. Life isn't "about us". It's about everything and everyone in it. Is it enough to pray for the poor old woman across the street, living alone, or...maybe she needs help? Can you go to the store for her? Can you shovel her snow? Rake her leaves for her? No...don't take money for it! It's about human need and kindness. Yes, it is good to donate $$ to the hungry and homeless to ease the conscience. However, it is an ongoing need. Do you do it once and then think, "there, I have done my share", or, do you continue...do you "get your hands dirty"? Is it enough to put a sign on our blogs "Peace to you"...or, do we reach out our hands in the "real world"? Do we "let our little lights shine"...or do we shine them to illuminate the darkness?
Thank you for the "light", Gunilla...you understand..."shine".

Every beautiful word comes out with a beautiful thought, what matters is the thought. Thought is unseen, it is the thought that has power. Imagine the qualities of the highest standards of a true gentleman, who will be always inconspicuous, kind, gentle, silent, untiresome, giving, one can continue to write a long list of the qualities of a gentleman and the one of the most important qualities in all this beauty is his power to be himself. All the conflict and distress is caused by people who are so utterly weak, who want to identify themself, who think that they are great in doing all the ugly things we see in the news.

God on the other hand is unseen, unheard and unsung, behind the darkest cloud, unable to be found by the non beliver who wish to disfigure this beautiful world and the beautiful creatures on it, but he is there having the power to absorb everything negative and continue to give, give and give all the time to the positive minded individuals to continue to carry on with their good work of radiating their positive vibrations undertered to bring in the beautiful and positive world back again, which might be realised in the near future.

So whom should we select to join in support, the kind and gentle and unseen God and continue to send out positive vibrations or the very conspicuous ones that create all the havoc in the world and continue to radiate negative vibrations. We must please remember the beauty of this world is yet there up to this day in this very depth of hell is because of all these beautiful, kind and gentle souls who have been giving in silence all the time. let us, do love the beautiful people and pass on some of it to the ugly ones too. That's how we can change them and not engaing in conflict. Thank you..Quintus
