Why I am Proud of Native Culture

I am not a Native person but I am Proud none the less. I have read many stories, have written to many people and have explored many perspectives. The biggest thing that makes me Proud is how I feel in my heart. The more I learn, the more I love and that is what it is all about.

The entire culture is based on love and respect of all things. Everything is connected, everything is important and all things are a gift.

The thing is that in this world today, people have become disconnected from the natural world with techno-toys, impressive gagets and things designed to make life more simple so that everything can be done faster. Life has become about speed. Life is too fast... life is too short.... time waits for no one.

The old ways are about savouring each moment, protecting the things that feed us, clothe us and give us shelter. It is about protecting the planet so that the children for the next 7 generations can live, love and learn as we have that opportunity right now.

It is about giving thanks for all that we have and knowing that all that we need will be provided for us when we need it. Everything will happen as it should.

This world isn't the only world we have to consider. When we are done here we will go home. Our bodies are just a vessel we have borrowed from our Mother the Earth so we can experience life in a physical form so we can learn through our experiences here so we can evolve when we become our spiritual selves again. Our challenges and lessons here are relavent for our development there so we need to get past our fears and live in love so we can hear what our hearts are trying to tell us.

I am Proud of Native Culture because it is so wise, loving and respectful. It has foresight and a deep understanding of what is truly important in life. It is beautiful.

Ecology is not new... it has been around in Native Cultures since the beginning of time.

We are all connected. We are one.

Thank you! It is a painting I did and I was hoping it would create that feeling of unity with all things. I am glad you could see it and feel it! :) Thank you Sabine.

What a picture! Never before, I have experienced something like this! I just had a short look onto it and suddenly i very deeply felt that spirit coming out of the whole picture right into my heart. It's undescribable! But somehow i felt this powerful energy jumping out of every single element, but it was the same one spirit coming through all these different elements towards me.
And while i was reading the words below, i only thought: Yes, that's what i was feeling by that first glance.
Who did paint this jewel?
Thank you sooo much, She Dun, for sharing the picture and the precious native wisdom! You seem to be full of this divine spirit and it just flows out of you. s.
