All of us here would like to see a more peaceful, more equitable, more just world. The question is what we can do to bring that about.
I blelieve all change starts from oneself. To quote
Mahatma Gandhi: You must be the change you want to see in the world.
So I try to find serenity within me, I try to touch Spirit within myself and in others, and I try to learn to live better. I try also to share my own learning with others - through my writings and my personal interaction - so that they may have a few more options and perspectives to consider in case they are looking for positive change too.
To this end, I made the following resolution at the beginning of the year, which I posted on my
"general interest" blog and my Facebook page:
I resolve to live in the awareness that I am connected to all other human beings, irrespective of nationality, ethnicity, race, religion, and all the other divisions we have created in this world…
On my
health and spirituality blog, and on Facebook, I shared some of my favourite principles for living well, taken from Toltec wisdom (as explained by
Don Miguel Ruiz) and the Usui tradition of Reiki healing.
I ended, as I do here, with this inspiring quote from
Sufi Master Vilayat Inayat Khan, courtesy the blog
Inspirations and Creative Thoughts:
when one's consciousness is no longer tied
to a particular being
consequently one extends one's consciousness
from the cause of one's being to that of all,
all beings!
