Please do not worry about spellings. I also misspell words because my fingers do not move fast enough on the right keys. It is very common for many people to do this! I did not even notice it because I read it as "big" anyway.
I am so happy that both you and Fatima are now my friends. Please keep telling me and the other women what happens where you are. From your latest news, I fear the situation is far worse than I could imagine. My heart goes out to you. The war on terrorism is being fought in Afghanistan by our UK and the USA military forces, but so long as these poor misguided suicide bombers offer themselves to kill and injure innocent people, striking fear into the hearts of everyone, they are largely ineffectual it seems. Somehow they need to find and take the leaders who are spreading such propaganda and lies to their own people. The leaders will always be protected by the people because they employ their own thugs to protect themselves. I have read that even some young women offer themselves for this suicide bombing. That is something beyond my comprehension. What has happened to their love and compassion. Why have they become so brutalised? How can their mothers allow this to happen to them?
So many questions. Human nature is very complex, but I firmly believe that education is the key to fostering understanding. And the internet is the tool by which different cultures will connect, build bridges, and eventually change people's hearts.
It is only 70 years since the start of World War 2 Britain against Germany at first, and then escalation to include most of Europe, Russia, Japan and America. Canada, Australia and New Zealand sent their men to help our cause, as did India, and probably Pakistan too, at that time. The peoples of Europe and Americas were so sickened by what they had done to each other in the name of humanity, that they vowed to never let it happen again on their soil. And so far it has not; except for the suicide bombing attacks which are so random, we never know where it will happen next. But we have our intelligence services who sniff out potential perpetrators of this heinous crime and stop them before they achieve their goal. It makes life somewhat inconvenient for the rest of us who have to put up with being security checked before boarding an areoplane for example. But to keep ourselves safe, we put up with it. It is such a small inconvenience when matched against the terror of your lives.
How do you keep being hopeful and optimistic every day? Do you have good friends near you or is it that other people are afraid to befriend you in case they too are targetted by the state? If so, this must be horrible for you all.

Thank you for sharing so much information with me. I realise how difficult it must be for you and your family, living in the midst of war zones. How terrifying on a daily basis. I looked up OEN, and discovered a lot more about you and Fatima there.
I have found Fatima's page and sent a friend request to her. You are so kind to do this for her, it is very empowering for a woman to be able to connect with other women across the world. Computers and the internet are so very useful in this respect. Even if Fatima cannot write herself, using a keyboard is easier, once she learns to spell the words. And it is so easy for someone else to key in the information she wants to relate in her name. I am so happy you decided to enable Fatima to join in her own right.
Are there many women living in the Agency who would like to participate online? I can see a way of connecting with so many people this way, people who would normally think that the world is beyond their reach. But small steps first!
I would really like to learn about your experiences, what life is like for you. There are many women (and men) who need to understand about the reality of living in the war zone. It all seems very remote from where we are, although we see horrific pictures on TV News sometimes. But it is a film, and of course it is easy to imagine that films are not real!
Is the Agency a free zone where you are relatively safe? Or am I completely wrong? Just getting the use of a computer seems to be difficult for you.
