For the meaning of RA MA DA SA SA SE SO HUNG i had to look among those CDs coming out of the SIKH / KUNDALINI YOGA tradition. And i found that one, that i met for the first time more than seven years ago, when i started with yoga for pregnant woman. At the end of the lessons, our teacher always started the CD "circle of light. mantra meditations" (by gurudass singh & kaur, gurudass@menta.net, www.aghartamusic.com) and we sang the ADI SHAKTI MANTRA and accompanied the singing with our gestures. I enjoyed the music and our taking part and after the birth, i was happy to have the CD at home, sharing it with Kara Joanna, who obviously remembered the music and its energy from that time, she was living within me.
I'm glad, that the little added booklet shows the words in original language and also in English. The one from your page really has a wonderful meaning:
RA - sun
MA - moon
DA - earth
SA - infinite
SE - Thou
SO HUNG - i am
It is the SIRI GAYATRI MANTRA and serves for SELF - HEALING or HEALING OTHERS.
If you are interested, i also can send you the description of the fitting movements, that can be done together with the chanting (or just listening).
I just had a look onto this description, it sounds great, i'll send it to you in any case, maybe at the weekend, now a lot of other things are waiting, for example the rabbit cage. My nose is telling me, that it quickly has to be cleaned.
