It's like this the generation a head of us hippies were the beats. The beats were also known as hipsters. The word hip was a jazz word describing dudes you know cats that truely understand the cosmic principles of improvisational jazz an African American vibe of knowing who's cool and who's not . . . a hip cat who was cool was a dude you could trust . . . The followers of the beats the new kids with the long hair and free spirits became the hippies. Very few hippies know an African Language. Does that help?

Thanks for sending the photo of the Bolinas Peace-sign house. I know the owners--staunch Democrats, former Hillary supporters turned Obama loyalists. I always look at it when I go to Bolinas, my fav place!

Hi Wayne, was just browsing through the folks here at iPeace and read your blog on the deer problem. Animal lovers have no idea how much of a problem the deer population- or any animal for that matter - if left unchecked, will continue to grow. We would begin to see real problems in the form of out-of-control viruses that could jump species, as happens. For California, with all the homeless people, I'm willing to bet a few wouldn't mind having some deer meat in their freezers or at the soup kitchens. From the other side of the nation. Peace! :)
